Day 11

Today was Saturday which meant it was an excursion day :-)

However...before we could go out for the day we had to visit Schola to catch up on some important course work - we had to fill in our log books and complete our Euro CV & Euro Passport :-(  To add more salt to the wound today was meant to be our beach day but the sky was a sheet of cloud and it was absolutely freeeeeeeezing!!!

Instead of the beach we ended up going into Valencia city centre. Here we went shopping and prepared for our main event which was happening at 6pm - the Valencia Vs Real Zaragoza football match. To get in the mood for the game a few of us bought Valencia FC scarves whilst others even splashed out on a Valencia FC shirt!

The Metro was busier than usual and there was a real buzz in the air. After getting off at our stop we had a short walk toward the Mestalla Stadium (Valenica's ground). The streets were busier however, despite the scarves and shirts we had bought, we still stuck out like a sore thumb and everyone knew we were English tourists (the group photo's and tanless bodies gave it away haha)! The game ended 1-1 and we got to see a red card - this was really exciting and a great experience....P.S. Spanish footballers love to dive!

When we got back from the football we had a pizza and DVD night - the film was Zombie Land which was VERY funny. Bed time followed as we were all tired bunnies!
